Overview

What You Will Do 

As a Facilities Maintenance Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics of the company facilities while providing support to various departments. Duties include general housekeeping, assisting with vehicle fleet management, preparing meeting and training rooms, and performing minor maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will be dependable, flexible, and possess a valid driver's license with experience operating pick-up trucks and towing trailers. Occasional weekend work and overnight travel may be required. 

 

A Typical Day at Prime Controls 

  • Being dependable and flexible with completing tasks and being at work on time is a requirement of this position. Occasional weekend work is required to meet deadlines. 
  • Making deliveries and running errands in a company vehicle. 
  • Assisting the Fleet Coordinator with delivering, picking up and maintenance of vehicles. This will occasionally include overnight travel to deliver and or retrieve a company vehicle. 
  • Experience with driving pick-up trucks (F150 & F250) and occasionally towing small utility type trailers is required.   
  • Assist in outfitting new vehicles with mounting toolboxes and other items. 
  • Flexible schedule as needed to come in for early meetings and late events if needed. 
  • General housekeeping in regard to the interior and exterior of the facility. 
  • Preparing conference rooms each day and in between meetings to include straightening and stocking. 
  • Prepare training rooms for meeting and training to include set up and tear down of chairs, tables, and retracting wall. 
  • Set up and tear down all food deliveries and pickups for meetings, training, and conferences. 
  • Assist in gathering and preparing all supplies needed for company-related events. Set up and deliver as well if needed. 
  • General building maintenance includes minor plumbing, light bulbs, installing decorations and equipment, touch up paint and any other minor maintenance needed. 

 

What You Will Bring 

The Basic 

  • Proven experience in a facilities maintenance or similar role. 
  • Experience with driving pick-up trucks (F150 & F250) and towing small utility trailers. 
  • General housekeeping and maintenance skills. 
  • Ability to perform minor plumbing, light bulb replacements, touch-up painting, and other minor maintenance tasks. 
  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and overnight travel as required. 
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours for early meetings and late events. 
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks. 

 

The Preferred 

  • Experience in outfitting vehicles with toolboxes and other equipment. 
  • Experience in setting up and tearing down meeting and training rooms. 
  • Dependable and punctual. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
