Overview

What You Will Do   

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a supportive role in our accounting operations. This position will involve a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, including distributing and organizing mail, assisting with accounts payable invoicing, copying checks, and managing contract labor invoicing. The ideal candidate will have some basic accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and a strong team-oriented mindset.  

  

A Typical Day at Prime Controls   

  • Mail Distribution and Organization: Ensure that all incoming mail is distributed to the appropriate personnel and departments in a timely and organized manner.  
  • Accounts Payable Invoicing: Assist with the processing and recording of accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.  
  • Check Copying: Copy and file checks as required, maintaining an organized and accessible filing system.  
  • Contract Labor Invoicing: Assist in the preparation and management of invoices related to contract labor, ensuring all billing is accurate and submitted on time.  
  • General Accounting Support: Provide general support to the accounting team, including data entry, document scanning, and other clerical tasks as needed.  
  • Excel Reporting: Use Excel to compile and organize data, preparing reports as required by the accounting department.  
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and support various accounting tasks.  

  

What You Will Bring  

 

The Basic   

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Basic accounting experience required 
  • Intermediate Excel skills  
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

  

The Preferred   

  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes
